Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

ive been working on my art style lately ive been drawing over and over again until i can do it with my eyes closed and 1 hand behind myback
How im ade there style was by me looking at a whole bunch of other stuff.Back when i was 12 i was really into anime,i mean i was really into,i bought the books i watched the shows which i still do then i was about 14 and started learning about tex avery and his style then i got into looney tunes and bugs bunny  after a while my cartoons had the body of a cartoon but the look of a anime catoon it did seem wierd at first but then i toned it down made every thing simple and before you know it had a style and i also threw some kingdom hearts in there.
